The Community Outreach Group began when Isabelle Smullen, a member of Boehm's Church, provided in her will a sum of money to be "used exclusively for mission outreach to the needy." Since then the group has initiated and overseen many areas of outreach. Among some of the programs are:

Working with the Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity to assist in the building of a home.

Working with other churches to provide meals and assistance to homeless families through the Interfaith Program.

Donating in various ways to the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard to provide help for those in our surrounding communities.

Working through World Vision to provide support to a child in Ethiopia.

Creating a Donation Outreach Ministry through which donated items are made available to the local communities through various outreaches.

Ther Group continues to look for new ideas and meets on a regular basis. All are invited to be a part of this  exciting ministry.
