The history committee is a newgroup at Boehm’s that is attempting to organize the church’s historic treasures.Under the leadership of Bob Whittockand the Reverend Bob Calvert, we are cataloguing and filing what we find in the museum and the church safe.Others who are helping with the project include: Josephine and Ed Sawicki, Al and Fran Slingluff,Tyler Brunner, and Anita and Traci Law.
Once the materials have been catalogued, we have severalgoals. We hope to write a new history of the church for the 275th anniversary in 2015.We want to map the cemetery and make the findings available to historians and genealogists, preferablyon the internet. We would also like to organize and display the historic books we have been finding in the library in the main part of the church, so that they are available to the public. All are welcome to help out in this ministry of the church.
